Former Governor Bill Weld- Former Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey
- State Representative Dan Winslow
- Former State Representative Karyn Polito
- Psychiatrist Keith Ablow
ie: The field looks extremely thin with Weld and Healey seemingly having the most state-wide name recognition. Though Weld has been out of public office since 1997.

BOSTON (AP) — Former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld says he will not run in the special election to succeed John Kerry in the U.S. Senate.
